Hi all,
First post so figured I'd introduce myself. I have been playing off and on for a while street mostly, just got into ice this year, including learning how to skate. I have always been a goalie in every sport that mandates a goalie, something about fast moving objects flying at me just doesn't seem to bug me.:D
Sadly tomorrow I am going to the Ortho to get my knee looked at because it pops quite often and has a nice dull pain doing mostly anything. :(

It all makes perfect sense.
Here's my grand knee update: X-rays taken, The Dr. said I had strong bones (guess the milk pushers were right) But there is a weird floating bone type thing (its round and showed up on the X-ray) in the back of my knee. MRI tomorrow, follow up next tuesday. the doctor also eagle claw kung fu'd my knee, and then muttered something about medial cruciate.
Then my when I got home my pineapple beer exploded :(

hopefully the knee is a minor deal and everything works out!
and pineapple beer. I'm tempted to make a joke that the world was just svaing your life from such horrors of such a beer. But on one sense, I'm curious to try some myself

Pineapple beer: Think Blue Moon, Belgium wheat, but with Pineapple flavor it in. It is very smooth, kind of potent, and very tasty.

A nice beer recipe...just in time for summer.
The Bee-Sting...50% honey weiss, 50% berry weiss...here, we have Leinenkugel ( wisconsin brewery-distributed by Miller ), but I suppose any brand would do fine....sweet, light beer taste, goes down smooth, and waaaaaaaaaaaay too fast!!!

The results are in on the knee, meniscus tear, so I am going under the knife on August 13th, with 4-6 weeks of no hockey.
Also I am not German, or even german descent. I just like baron von _______

Hi All,
I'm new to the board as well I hadn't actually heard of it until I was talking to Scott on Monday the 18th about ordering a new set of gloves. He suggested I check it out must say it's now my 3rd most visited site during my days already (Calgarypuck.com, and facebook.com) I'm a member on the goaliestore.com board and don't really post alot mostly lurk and read other people's posts see what other people have to say. A bit about myself I live in Calgary (Go Flames) and at 28 am about to enter my first season of playing goal on a regular basis, had my equipment for about 3 years played maybe 20 sessions of shinny and I thought if I'm going to be the fulltime goalie for a beer league team I'd better get new gloves. After seeing how much everyone loved Scott's work decided I should get some stuff too, starting out with some gloves and I guess we'll see where it goes from there. hope to talk to alot of you and maybe I'll post here more and have some good discussions.
Thanks

You are making a great choice, as I love my 'stuff' from Scott. I would STRONGLY recommend that Your next 'piece' be a C/A from him. I've used others, and now that I've got his model I wouldn't use anything else. The pro model I've got is great, as the 'cannons' that some of these Bozo's let rip at me during games (all power, no direction - trying to go THROUGH the goalie . . .) have yet to leave a mark on me. Mind You, I've had two broken clavicles and a cracked sternum in the past . . . and a few ribs to boot . . . for me, the order of importance would now be a Cup, a Brain Bucket, and then a C/A . . . followed by Gloves and Pads. Good luck to You!

Thanks for letting me know, I think my order of ordering is a C/A, new Skates, and the next would be new Pads but the pads can wait for a few years, the C/A might be something I need within the next 6 months. I'll be going to Scott for that as well, I told him I was surprised to get a hold of him at 9:30pm his time as it was only 7:30pm for me and the company I work for they always talk about getting a wow out of our customers for giving amazing service and that was totally a Wow moment for me. I don't even have my gloves yet and I'm already telling people about Scott and hie equipment and how excited I am I can't wait to get my gloves.

I finished up your gloves last night! They will be on the way on Tuesday!
I will post photos on the board at somepoint today!
Once again, we are aiming to keep ALL orders under 4 weeks this season!
It means some long days in the shop, but I firmly believe there is never any reason to wait longer than 6-8 weeks for custom gear. I am reading of some poor guys waiting 15 weeks or more for gear.
Pads can be made in 1 day, A set of gloves in a half day if your working 12 hour days!!!

If that's for me that's sweet Scott, if it's for someone else that's still sweet means I'm 1 set of gloves closer to getting mine lol either way I'm happy
