I am extremely picky about my gloves, like 99.9% of all goaltenders out there. I wore the 5002 XLP in the past. While I liked the way the glove felt, I made a poor judgement on getting the XLP. Just too damn big for my hand.

Scott, I was wondering if you could list and/or discuss the differences, ie, blocking vs catching styles, breaks and other minor details. I know some of the answers but I would just like to see them in detail. Thanks! Even the differences in the 5000 series gloves would be great. Thanks!

Check out my post in this thread: http://www.goalielife.com/showthread.php?t=106

I recommend the Verge over the 5000 series but it depends on what you want in a glove. As I stated I still use the 5000 for inline with no problem.:)
