Ok, I know your probably expecting to see some bunnies on ice... and I'm sorry for misleading you with such a tantalizing title. Well, not really. :p

7pm - Filled in for one of my friends in Northern Kentucky. All I can say is wow... the facilities suck. The ice sucks. The boards suck. And I sucked. I guess it was only fair.

Lots of bad flippy redirects and tips by my own guys, and several screens and breakaways... we ended up winning 9-8, but wow... I felt really out of sync. My new pads are still giving me just a little bit of a hassle with the over-rotation, and to top it off, halfway through the third period I get a shot to the mask that rips the strap right off the screws on the chin cup, and the thighboard strap buckle broke. So I played the last 12 minutes with my mask constantly wobbling down into my line of sight, and a strap hanging down onto the ice. Classy! :o

.

That settles it... you suck and have no need for your gear.
I will be expecting it in the mail early next week.:p

I'll tell you the same thing Bill told Hillary a couple weeks ago:

Nice try, no cigar. :p

ZING!

It's hard to win when your team doesn't score any goals. :(

So, you're playing with the team that I was on last season? :D

If any of them score on you, I'll know that my guys have migrated north.

Game 2 with The Chiefs

It was pretty one sided... the only goals I let in were because I pretty much stood there making ice sculptures for much of the game. Hard to stay focused when you don't see any action for 6-7 minutes at a time.

yep, that's what my game was like. Well, except for the breakaways.

Hate to hear about the knee, that really sucks!

Shrews win, Chiefs Win, Chiefs win.

3-0 on the week! WootT

The pads are working so much better now.

Did something Wednesday night I've never done before.

Had a guy come in alone ( we turned it over trying to clear our zone ) and has me all the way to the right side. He goes across a little faster than I anticipated, shoots hard along the ice to my left. I had to reach out with the glove flat on the ice to try and grab it, since my left leg wasn't going to get out there in time... and I somehow snagged it up off the ice and into my glove. It looked impressive as hell but I have no idea how I did it. :o:o:p

Sounds like 80% of my saves.:D

It was great... everyone on the ice was skating by for the faceoff, saying things like "man... nice.... nice... sweet save".

I chuckled under my breath and gave the obligatory fake head nod of confidence. :p

Always act like you know what you are doing. I had a glove save last night that literally, the guy shot it into my glove on a break away. I though he was going short side. Acted like I planned on it all along.:D

:D
And still going strong. I've won the last 8 games I've been in net. Had a short breakdown last night in the second of two games, when I got lazy and wasn't t-rexxing, just had my hands out too far and not following the puck through the screen, and got beat through the arm pit. Then I re-focused, said "rawrrr!" and got back on track.

That white jersey with the little t-rex arm on it is starting to sound like something for Christmas. :p

What is this "T-Rexing with the Arm" business? I went through the whole thread, seeing if I could get a glimpse somewhere of some information, and I'm still as 'confused' as when I first read the allusion to it . . .

Can someone enlighten me please? Thanx.
