I traded my laptop for a set of vaughn velocity pads. It also came with an epic blocker and trapper. Coming from a bauer vapor they were very nice.

Blocker
This was the thinnest blocker ive ever had. The palm was very nice and it had good feel for the stick. I didnt trust a blocker that thin at first but it wasnt bad. I didnt care for the fingers as they kept ripping off the palm in the middle of games(im luckey so far) but after a few stitchings i got it right and they stayed. The rebound control was also decent as alot of pucks went in the corner. Unlike my vapor blocker it was actualy quite a bit nicer looking not homley.

TrapperThis was a very nice trapper. Compared to my vapor it was a plesent change. I found the vapor to be quite a bit heavier. I didnt like the inside strapping that much though,it only had the one weave strap up twords my fingers and then the wrist one. I often wear a spandex glove like thing under it because the straps bother my hand. There wernt any popouts and i bent the glove out flat a bit to make it bigger,i thought this would affect catching but it was actualy a benefit. It covered pucks much better. It had a deeper pocket trhen the vapor too (i think).

Pads
These were probibly one of the best hybrid pads i tryed on in a while. Going from vapor 2's i noticed the difference in rebound control was awesome. Bauer leg channels (the wedgie) and the air bladder are both terrible. The bauers over rotate too much, the Velo's wernt bad. I hated the vapors to break in but the velocitys were quite flexible as well. The added rebound control actualy slightly changed my style a bit as i didnt have to watch the opposing players closley.

I plan on selling the pads however, and i intend to get velocity 3's or Premier 2's maybe, god knows what im getting to tell the truth. But im not keeping these pads, how much do you think they could sell for? The set i mean.

Ill try and post pics.

Thank you, I didn't think i would like them at first either but they grown on me. I really am considering keeping the pads. I wanted new ones, but if i keep these it will free up a lot of cash. That laptop i traded was a virus filled piece of junk and i got a new one anyways my parents payed for so its like i never payed a cent for the pads. And next year when i go to sell them it will be all profit going twords my next pads.

Reebok5, how well can you reach the guts of th eback of the catcher to adjust the strap tightness? When I first played hockey, Vaughn gloves consistently defied my attempts to get in there and adjust stuff; oher gloves I've seen let me open the back and do that.

Thank you, Ryano. :)
Yes, I did. Just over a year ago I found on eBay a pair of Bauer 6 pads. Now it's time to replace my ancient and honorable Heaton gloves.

Into a place of honor...next to my Kay gloves!

May I suggest a set of 5002's? Considering where you are coming from they have a great oldschool feel and yet modern in design.
