I think my team just redefined the term...

We lost 16-2. The starter let 5 goals in less than a period. I was sent in and did well letting only two in the following one. Then our whole team stopped playing and they scored 9 in the last frame...

I'm not even mad about it, I thought I played well except for a couple misreads. Most goals neither me or the other guy had much of a chance to stop.

There's something quite liberating about being beaten so badly. If it's a one goal game, you keep wondering what one, or two, things you could have done differently and won that game.

16-2 with 88 SOG? Nope, nothing you could have done would have changed that outcome.

15 - 1 for my team tonight or atleast that's what our captain figures the other team scored they stopped putting their goals on the board after it was 8 - 0 . They were a team that played in the summer D division moved down to the E Division scored and average of 9 goals a game and somehow got moved up but still played us tonight. Even with letting in that many
I felt I played descent, it's my first year playing goal so it can only get better.

Us ? Yea it was pretty rough, the defense weren't covering anything we couldn't get the puck out of the zone... and yeah... shiat happens.

13-2 tonight. let 8 goals in through 2 and a half periods before they pulled me... I hate the fact that we have no defence and they make me look like a fool in front of all the fans.

You have fans. I might jealous, but then again maybe not.

the league pulls 250-1000 people depending on the rink we play at.

Its not bad hockey being Sr "A" we just make a shaming out of it.

at least this way you will face plenty of shots and get used to some of the shooters habits.... try to focus and learn from the goals u let in and dont let it keep happening the same way.

also stay hydrated.... lord knows when your facing that many shots you are doing most of the work while your team is watching.... no way your team is helping if that many shots.

I'm afraid my season will be just like yours, with the exception of the crowd. 10-15 people is a good night for us. We shall see tonight at our next game. Good luck and just keep doing your best.

The only reason I'm not too concerned about it is because I hardly ever get beat on the 1st shot except if I'm screened. I got beat on a bad angle yesterday but it was more misplaying a 2 on 1... I'm not trying to put the blame elswhere but I don't think its my fault. Sure I could make some more saves... but nothing that could make the team win.

Anyways they fired the coach... we shall see how this plays out.
