So I figured I'm bored enough for another go at one of these thingys.
My season last summer ended with great success, my team won the EEE championship, I had the lowest GAA in the league, Least amount of goals against in the league, and best save% in the league. A pretty fair accomplishment for my first season ever I believe :D
So anyways, out with the old and in with the new!
Winter 09, The rebels 2 moved up a division to EE
In preseason I saw some good success winning my first few games and was feeling really confident in myself.
I was in a huge groove and playing great.
Then I took a couple weeks off due to work,
Oh boy....
came back and lost three in a row. Like smoked.
It was pretty bad, I got really rusty and had terrible positioning.
After getting my head back in the game, I had a great showing in our last game. I made about 30 stops and made an incredible save on a breakaway with a Hasek roll.
Then I filled in for another team in our division last weekend, and was very pissed. They called me last minute so I had to rush over there, then I ended up with 61 SHOTS ON NET!
It was like they didn't even consider a breakout. It was terrible. They even dumped it into OUR zone and tried to change lines. This led to a 3-0 goal.
Hideous. So glad I'm not their full timer.
needless to say I lost that game, but I feel my 55 save performance was pretty good.
So thats pretty much my update on Hockey for now.
Oh and I got a new glove! Koho 580, I've used it in two games and I LOVE IT!!!
it feels so natural on my hand compared to my old mcmartin glove. Ich.
And I've also been inspired to paint my own mask. Still deciding on a design, I want something simple, since Ill be using spraypaint, old school, and It'll probably have some references to this website, pending the approval of the administration :D
