hi everyone,
after the fun i had with the vorteks and not wanting to destroy another set, and knowing that i like the rbk stuff but feel pro-spec really does help movement, i managed to landed these:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/coventry/content/images/2008/01/02/blaze_7_steelers_1_301207_10_470x399.jpg
sheffield steelers, british elite league goalies jody lehman,

good story to go with them too, saw these on ebay advertised as jody lehmans pads, i though some one has bought them and trying to make a buck, so email him to see if he'd take a cheeky offer lol gotta try, but he wanted to wait till the end of the auction, so i had too to.
so when i win the pads, i ask the seller to ring me to arrange a pick up place and time, i get a phone call " is that jake" in a strange accent, "yep its me" "hi its jody"
turns out it was actually jody selling his own pads lol so went to meet him at the areana last night and he gave me free tickets to the game too, row 4 from the front, what can i say great guy and good experience,

equipment wise, did think the gear would be lighter, but not bothered i believe the pads are 38" but the knee fits perfect, the blocker will eventually need repalming, the only dissapointment was the glove, no somuch the minute size but the way he has broken it is, it simply doesn't close, the inner plastic is stopping it, so the glove is already in bits

right

review time:
will start with the glove as thats my main bug bare,
as soon as i touched the glove it just wouldn't shut,

full strength, it looked like the hard plastic plam was causing alot of this, not to mention the t was off shaped,
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/cuprajake/P221108_231401.jpg
so i took it too bits
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/cuprajake/P221108_2358.jpg
got to work and started to shave the plastic down past the line
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/cuprajake/P231108_122401.jpg
coinsidentally while the t was off the glove closed very easy, so i inspected it and inside the t the hard plastic was broke, so i glued it and braced it.
then started the build up,

but tried it and it was worse than ever  noticed the t shape was still odd, took the inner t out and the glove close 10 times better, so moded that and rebuilt the glove a 3rd time :D

so now with the glove re done, the comparisson,
having the prem 1's i kinda knew what to expect, main thing was size difference but nothing major,
the gloves:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/cuprajake/P231108_142902.jpg
the blockers:
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/cuprajake/P231108_1430.jpg
the pads,
now the 1's are 36+1 the 2's are 38
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/cuprajake/P231108_1431.jpg
there is a nice s curve to the 2's though so thats probably what is causing the lack of height,
finally one happy rbk family
