I was wondering if anyone else was having or has had this problem. I use Bauer goalie skates for roller and ice and on both this happens. After I drop into b-fly when I stand back up the bottom corner of the calf wrap is stuck in my skate boot. I've tried all diferent strap configurations to see if maybe that was the issue and have had no luck. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts I could try?

Tighten your boot strap and/or reduce your toe-ties maybe? (I guess there is an element of over rotation?)
Do you wear your boots quite loose? (maybe you need to tighten them to avoid catching on your calf-pad?)
(fyi: I wear bauers and grafs for roller and ice without any similar problem)

I tried wearring the boot strap tight and loose. The rotations on the pads is perfect. Not over or under rotating. I thought the same thing. If I tightened them that they would'nt get caught but it was actually the opposite effect. It got much worse after I tightened them. So I loosened them up more than usual and again the problem got worse than normal. Just thought of something. Do you wear hockey socks or stockings or anything?

I cant think how you're doing it...maybe you could get some-one to video your leg/foot doing a butterfly????

Ok apparently if I wear hockey socks I don't have this problem. It's only if I wear stockings or dress socks. Guess I'll just go back to wearring the hockey socks. =(

Maybe you can approach the problem differently. Figure skaters regularly cover their white skates with something more colorful that matches their outfits. Maybe you can get something built to partially cover the part of the skate that causes hang ups. I bet Sara at PAW could whip up something for you out of nylon, elastic and velcro so you can avoid wearing socks. Good luck.
