Gregan, check it out buddy... I have been itching to make a set up in this colour! Hopefully you will like how it looks, it actually looks even nicer in person, the brown compliments the mustard very well!

Calling me out eh Scott?! :p ;) Putting the peer pressure on me now eh?!

What I'm struggling with is the design for the gloves. I'd like to make a Scottish inspired pair of gloves to commemorate where I was born, but those colors don't match up with that plan though I do love the colors...

So torn!

Any ideas Scott?

Is that mustard the "Retro Tan" jenpro?

No, the mustard is not the tan. The tan is done, it was a one time thing brought in by Ennis for RBK. Our sales rep found out for me that it went over like the Hindenberg and they wouldnt be ordering anymore. Personally, I thought the colour was not correct for a retro set and this is probably why the material didnt work out.

Gregan, I am sure that I can get Chakal to work something out if we feed him some ideas!

Ok, Chakal e-mailed me, I forwarded him the PM I sent to you about my design ideas. I don't think I can mix my Scottish inspired gloves with the tan and brown, don't think the ideas will mix. I'll just have to decide between the two.

Now those look really hot!!!

I just spoke with a customer in South Carolina yesterday and was telling him about the Mustard and Brown together, never thought of adding white!! He opted to go with the new leather material though staying traditionalist!!

But that set above... I would wear! haha

Of the two, I prefer the top one.

I'm partial to the second one myself... interesting to see people piling on the first design as the second one is clearly the nicer one of the two to me. :)

I'm with you Gregan. The second scheme is cleaner looking. Of course, the color scheme makes it look like a hamburger with mozzarella cheese and mustard.

Without a doubt, the second design is the best. If only your colors (colours!!!!) were black, bronze and white, then it would be perfect.

Hey Gregan,

Did you make those designs (templates I mean I know those are the stock nexus graphics) yourself, or are there blanks somewhere so anyone can do there own custom colours?

Gregan

I made that myself with the .pdf that chakal had linked to in the Nexus thread.

Just some simple messing around in Photoshop.

Oh you mean all the colour sample's that Chakal did?

I only have a adobe viewer so I can't do any actual editing, would you be able to post a blank version of what you did in the mustard and brown colours here.......if it's not to much trouble, as I'm not a photeshop guy so I have not idea how hard it would be.

Cheers

Just copy the image that you see above, then paste it into MS Paint, you can use that as a template. Your color selection in Paint is going to suck, but it's better then nothing.

So which ones are you getting Gregan, top or bottom?? haha I am eagre to do a set up in this combo!!!

On paper I think it looks cool, but I'm still worried they might not turn out great. I went back and took a look at some pics of Toivonen's mustard gear and I wasn't as impressed as I used to be... admittedly, I'd be using mostly brown and not mustard like Toivonen's old gear.

I am excited by your enthusiasm though... it's always good to have the artist/builder excited about what he's building/creating for you!

I wouldnt want to see a lot of mustard on any pad.. I think the Nexus graphic works well with the 3 colours because the Mustard would only be an accent colour while the white and brown balance it out very well.

I'm thinking I'll get the gloves done first... If I like the look of the colors, then I'll get a set of pads to match in the new year.

I'll work out getting you a deposit your way following one of my next few pay cheques.

Hey Scott, Does the Duck's orange go well with the mustard and Brown? I took a peak at your color swatch page and the mustard does seem to go really well with the orange on there.

I'm thinking a JS Giguere set of pads, but with brown, mustard, orange, white... I don't think I'm sold on just the brown, mustard, white.

Here is what I'm thinking:

Argh... I think I'm trying to sell myself too hard on the mustard/brown combo...

One of the ladies who works here and is also does oil painting etc as a hobby said... NO WAY!! The only colours that work with the Mustard and Brown are White and Black and those arent colours!

Something about the hue of the mustard and brown are the same and I tend to agree with her on that one!
