Just wore them for the first time last night.I have been wearing the RBK X-pulse pad for about a year. The One 75's are much better constructed and feel better during slides. The pad is very well built for an overseas product made with good materials for the price tag of $479.

:rolleyes:Having used the One75's for about two months now I think I can critique them with more indepth decription.1)The pads are very well made for an oversea's product. All the seams are in perfect condition with no fraying or loosening. The internal foams are stiff and hold the curve at he top and skate bend very nicely. All straps(leather) are in perfect condition and show no signs of wear(another characteristic of oversea's products).2) These pads are light, very light.I've worn pro level pads in the past,RBK XPulse and Vaughn Velocities, and they were much heavier.I do understand that new materials are lighter and hand made pads tend to be also, but these One75's are really light.3)They fall flush to the ice on butterfly drops and the knee blocks and lock work perfectly. The stabilizer is comfortable and is constructed very well.3)the only negative I can see with pad is rebounds.Pucks bounce off these bad boys more than anything I've ever worn.I believe that's the drawback to the pads being so stiff. In conclusion,These pads are worth every penney at $489.Bauer was not lying when they said they construct it to the same specs as the One95 with slightly lower materials and machine made.A very competent product for someone looking for a quality product under $500.

you are correct, they are a solid built pad, My son used a pair for awhile and 2 of my students use them, better build than the one 55 and holds its own next to the one 95 in some aspects...very good deal for the money here...we got ours for like 379, couldnt beat that at the time !

Glad to here it.Anytime,in this economy, you can get more for your money equipment wise is a good thing.Don't be afraid to try the one75 mitts.I have used the blocker for about 8 months and it's holding up very well. It's light and the palm is pro level with excellnt finger protection.

To be honest, my son used the pads for about 3 months then moved back to RBK... he grew out of the one75 way too quick and I got a great deal on the RBK's he plays well in them so I went ahead and stuck with it, if not he would be in another pair of Bauers ! The gloves however we both tried on and the catcher I didnt like, he kinda did, the blocker we both felt was hard to hold the stick with... perhaps it just needed to be broken in ?
anywho it is a great product though !

I can't seem to get used to the new smaller(nhL size) catch mitts. That's the only reason why I'm not using it.Agood friend uses both gloves and loves them.Everyone has thier prefence I guess.

Cujo,The reason why I purchased the One75's to begin with was because my son wears the One95's and I tried his and liked them. The funny thing is he wore the RBK Premier 2's before switching to the One95's.Just the opposite of what your son did.My son just didn't like the way the RBK landed for him and being more of a hybrid goalie the RBK's probably were the wrong pad to begin with considering his style.I thought that they would widen his butterfly but that didn't happen. He was thinking of trying the Turco break RBK's but decided to give the One95's a try and loves them.He does seem to get both pads down quicker with less gaps than the RBK's.Everyone must find whats right for them and stick to what works.
