Everyone else gets to post those cool reviews of their new gear, so now I want a turn!
I just pulled everything out of the box a few minutes ago, so I obviously don't have a lot of on-ice information to impart. I'm also sitting in my office, and my camera is at home so the pics will have to come a little bit later.
My first impressions of th gear are very good. The construction appears to be top notch and everything is exactly as I had hoped it would be.
I have tried the gloves on and the blocker is just butter. First time I have ever had a blocker that had a correctly sized 'glove'. I have somewhat small hands so it normally feels like I have a big leather rag wrapped around my hand.
The trapper is going to take some getting used to. I am coming from a Brian's A-Maxx which is a completely different "Beast" :p.
This thing is super stiff right now, and I can tell that I have a lot of hours of opening and closing to do so this thing will be useable out on the ice.
When I get home I will update this post with some pics and then I'll update again once I get these out on the ice.
Here's my first update:
I got these guys home and tried them on and got some rather poor quality pics.
First the obligatory couch photos.

These are replacing my old Brian's A-Maxx set. These are still in rather good shape and may become available if anyone might be interested.

It's going to be very strange going from my old traditional style pads to these new b-fly pads. Everything is very stiff and square and just... different.
Up to this point I have only found one thing that I don't like, and it is something that was completely out of Scott's hands. This one was the fault of his buckle provider.
All of the buckles look like this:

Notice how the post in the middle angles toward the center of the pad. This allows the strap to be "unhooked" easily.
There is just one buckle that looks like this:

The post is backward. This would normally be no problem at all, but it makes it a real chore to get the damn strap into or out of this thing because it acts like a hook. It took me a few tries getting it on and off before I finally noticed why this one buckle was such a pain. But this is really nothing a set of pliers can't fix.
All in all I am very happy so far. More details will come once they hit the ice, but unfortunately that won't be for another 2 weeks! :(
