I seem to be having some trouble getting my pads to rotate properly when I am dropping into my butterfly. Can I get you guys to comment on lace and lower strap set-ups that you all are using? Thanks all!

About two to three inches of slack in the toe ties for me. One boot strap on it's third hole from the end (loose). Everything loose except the top knee strap, that's just to keep the knee wings from clapping together.
On my fury pads I removed the top strap completely and moved the buckles for the knee straps to their lowest points. Thigh boards are relatively snug.

I’ve noticed an improved ability in pad rotation when I switched from Verge to Fury pads. Now some of that may have to do with strapping and such.
On the Fury pads I have three knots (I think, maybe four) on the toe ties. I removed the front bootstrap and just use the rear bootstrap. I run the rear bootstrap through the heal of my skate and buckle it on the fifth hole from the end. Very loose. I keep the three calf straps about finger tight. As in, I can get my finger between the strap and my leg. The pads do not feel very tight on my lower legs. Just in place. I keep the knee lock very loose maybe a third of each Velcro end is actually used. I found this to greatly aid in rotation. As for the upper straps, I removed the lower knee strap and moved it up to the thigh.
Good luck and just keep trying new setups.

Frozen which pads are you using? Furys? I have Fury pads and I put the boot strap on the 2nd hole (very loose), the bottom 2 calf straps on the 8th hole (pretty loose), and the top calf strap on the 6th hole (semi snug but not tight). For the knee straps I removed the top one and just use the bottom one which I have semi snug to ensure I don't fall off the knee stack. As for the thighboard strap I took the elastic strap off and put in a fairly long nylon strap as the elastic was getting underneath my pants and pulling them up.
For the toe bridge on ice I leave about 2" of slack. For roller I leave about 1.5" of slack. I have no rotation issues whatsoever and my pads always rotate back perfectly when I stand up. Keep trying it took me about 2 weeks to get the perfect set-up for myself. Good luck!
