This is mostly for Scott, but anyone else is welcome to chime in.

One of the guys I play hockey against wears full Brown gear. He is planning on making a trip to Collingwood to get fitted for a new set. His current set is so worn, it makes my Battram 3500s look young in comparison.

When Scott introduced the Nexus line, I sent the link to my friend, suggesting he give Battram a try. He agrees that Scott's equipment lines look good and are very competitively priced, but his only complaint was that the gear was too "modern". He likes the more traditional look for his gear.

That preference is why he wants to stick with Brown. My question to Scott is: would you still be able to design a more traditional looking pad, or even build a set of 3500/Bold pads at this point?

I'd really like to get more converts to Battram playing in my regular barn.

here's a rare view, how traditional do you want it?

Scotts Old School gloves.

he still makes them if you ask nicely

so i bet he can still make some pads to go with those gloves. :D

Hi Paul,

He needs to look at the CYCLONE line... in terms of feel, this pad is going to feel the most traditional.... Some of the new offereings from Brown are really not what I would call traditional either...

I still have the old patterns, but would really rather not do them as I feel performance wise they are not even close to what we could give your friend with the Cyclone pad!

I'll try and get him to contact you to see what can be arranged. I agree that Brown is not really "traditional" any more, but I guess it's as close as he can find right now.
