I am new to this board but I am really interested in hearing from someone using this C/A & how it is for comfort & drying time?

I am currently using a D&R 8.2L & it seems to work very well & is comfortable, however this year I am playing in 2 leauges that allow slap shots & I am finding there are a few weak spots & I will probably have to upgrade soon.

I have a C/A that is pro spec. I don't have the added section in the rib area. I went from being stung all the time with a Si***ns unit to feeling no pain. The unit was comfortable from day one. It seems to dry quickly but I rarely skate on back to back days so I can't really assess speed.

I don't hesitate recommending the Battram C/A to anyone. As a point of reference, I see 90mph shots on my Saturday morning skate with no problem whatsoever.

I have a Battram C/A, couldn't recommend it highly enough.

It felt a bit bulky at first as it has several areas that are beefed up a lot more then my old C/A. However after three or four ice times it felt great.

Its the most protective C/A I've ever owned.

I've owned the Battram 3500 C/A combo for close to 9 years and I love it. I have taken a few stingers over the years, but nowhere near what I used to get with my older body pads, and nothing that really lasts. My only problem with the unit is keeping it in my pants, which is more a problem related to my pants than the C/A unit itself.

Damn! Talk about your inadvertent typos...

I meant keeping the C/A unit tucked into the hockey pants.

You're a perv, OldStyle. I can relate to that!

Try suspenders - put them on after your body armor over top of it (body armor, pants , finally suspenders) hooking the straps loosely over the shoulders.

I already do that. The problem is the waist on the Brian's Ridge pant is not very high, so the C/A unit comes out if I have to stretch to grab a puck while down on the ice.

New pants will probably fix that problem.

I was surprised as to how many goalies don't - sorry I assumed.

Sounds like a plan..........or a shorter body :D

I used to HATE having my suspenders on the outside of my C/A, but with my new XXX pants I have to do it. I actually quite like it now... I used to find that I overheated and felt constricted in my movements, perhaps my older pants had less room and used different materials which prevented the C/A from turning around at the waist.

I use D&R 8.2 Pants. They are low cut & do not require suspenders. The C/A sits just over top of them & I really like the moblity. I played with suspenders for 30 years so letting go was difficult but I am glad I did.
