Hello again everyone.
Well, I've had this jock about 3 weeks...My other Shock Doctor, I've had for about 5/6 months...
I previously had a Reebok Pro Spec Jock...and before that a couple Brian's...I found them to be bulky and they never actually covered the areas I needed the most protection in...
After calling Shock Doctor and talking to their R&D guys...I ended up with these.

The padding in the 5 hole area is a new crush-tech padding and when struck actually "hardens" ~ So far, I've been hit there a good 3-4 times and have yet to see the bruising I used to see.
Inside each leg is a "gel" sort of sticky stuff that keeps the leg of the jock securely on your leg...It doesn't move around at all and keeps the cup very well in place so you're not pinching your nuts constantly (My RBK jock was infamous for that)...
I have a Titanium cup as well from Shock Doctor which, is serving me very well...Obviously you could use any cup thought so, whatever floats your boat.
The sock straps make my life much easier, socks stay up and the unit itself is very breathable.
Overall, I'd say this is definitely a must if you're in the market for a new jock!
These are a special order item and will take 4-6 weeks to manufacture but, for anyone interested, I will be happy to fire off an email to my Rep and snag a few in your size...They do not come with a cup so, you'll have to order one seperately.
They're about 40$ a pair and if enough people are interested, these will make it to the retail world.
Any questions//comments feel free to ask or PM me.

Those look great. I know I'd love to try some, as I find finding a good pair of compression shorts/cup is a pain at the best of times. I'm looking for XL or XXL, and I know you said these are not production yet, but any idea on when if the might become available to the public?

If they could intergrate thigh/knee padding as well, they would do the trick. They already make them for football - they could just add the sock supports and remove the hip & tailbone pads. They could also beef up the pelvic protection a little.

seems to me that my basic Vaughan goalie jock and pants pretty much cover those areas.

My son wears a Vaughn Velocity Jock but the problem was that when it was hit by a shot it would slap back and smash the "goods" it was supposed to protect. Also the white plastic cup cracked so we replaced the cup with a shock doctor plastic anti-shock cup which also blew apart after a couple of hits.(Shock Doctor graciously replaced the cup no questions asked) We replaced it again with the original Vaughn style cup but this time attached an old elbow protector from a Brown chest/arm unit to the front of the cup so it was now like the Vaughn epic jock and now the cup in there doesn't crack. However the original problem with the jock slapping back and crushing things still existed. I had read then many NHL goalies actually wear a regular cup and supporter under the goal jock probably for this reason, so we looked for a good solution.
Then we saw the NuttyBuddy commercial and decided to look into one of those. We looked at all the website info on how to properly wear it etc. and then called and talked with the owner. Nice and knowlegable guy who was happy to talk with customers and he suggested wearing it the way the website recommends (wear compression shorts with NO cup inside, Place NuttyBuddy cup over the shorts and then put on good quality athletic supporter over cup to keep cup in place) and to wear the goal jock over top for the extra abdominal protection. This works fantastic! With the compression short/nuttybuddy/supporter setup it is very comfortable and absolutely no loss of mobility or extra bulk and the design of the cup makes room for everything to fit comfortably inside. The goaljock fits exactly the same as before but now if it slaps back it just hits the nuttybuddy cup and does absolutely nothing to the now 100% protected area. My son is now playing in college and will not play without it because when wearing it, he feels absolutely nothing from any shot hitting the groin area and it doesn't affect his movement at all. We highly recommend looking into one of these if you are having a problem with protection there. This new Shock Doctor style of compression short looks descent too if you need more inner thigh protection especially with the titanium cup but my son much prefers the shape of the nuttybuddy over the shape of every other cup he has tried and they are pretty much indestructable ( had it over 4 yrs already and despite many groin shots it has never been damaged in the slightest bit) . Don't forget the good quality goal jock for the lower abdomen protection too.

This jock has been primarily aimed at the pro//upper level tender that prefers mobility to full blown "gut" protection.
For example, 20 or 30 of these have already been ordered at the NHL level...Which is why they weren't responding...they've been making these in full swing.
When combined with the titanium cup...You have a goalie jock that covers the areas you most need protection in while allowing full mobility...Currently, only player shorts exist on the market and they lack the inner thigh protection these provide.
Yes, some protection is lost but, all pro pants on the market now have the built in gut//lower abdomen protection.
Realistically, the big cups//jocks aren't needed anymore and that's primarily what's been done away with.

I've been emailing them a bunch and they're making a few changes...I doubt it will be available publicly at this point because it actually is a hit with a few teams but, I'm not entirely sure yet, what's going on with it.
Calling them later this week to figure out the process...

Hehe, their CS dept's and R&D are 2 entirely different devisions...You're basically running head first into the same problem I have been.
The problem is basically, exclusivity...Once a professional or 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 etc become interested, for the rest of "us", it's back of the line.
I was given a date of availability for "custom orders" at or around January so, them being this "late" just tells me that there's more interest than either I or they, initially thought possible...Which is all good but, it leaves a lot of people to flap in the breeze.
I just called, left another message with my rep so, we'll see.
What I think we'll do once this gets going is, I have absolutely no problem tracking//recieving the orders and being the "middle man"...The problem is getting all of their people in line at the same time...At least that's been my issue.
We'll have an answer pretty soon.

I can't wear that type of shorts with cup. I have to rely on the goalie cup. I tried using these, and various other types. But when crouched down, the cup comes away from the bawls, and when I get hit it snaps back and hits them. It's not pleasant.

...Sorry bud but, I gotta knock this in the balls.
This is totally untrue of the new line...Inside the compression shorts (All 8 that I've tried on in the past 6 months, anyway) there is a separate liner that acts as a "jock strap" and keeps the cup in place the entire time you're wearing it.
I've never experienced this pulling away issue as you have and believe me, I wear the titanium cup...I'd know if it happened!!!!

So, it appears as if I've gotten another new rep because the old one is far too busy on new projects to be galavanting around fufilling custom orders!
New guy is cool.
Will have a yes or no today.
Please keep in mind that it may be a no because, this would be a large custom order but, I'll discuss with him the possibilities of what could/can happen etc...
So, definite answer sometime today, by tomorrow :)

Waiting anxiously...
I think it may be a no.
They're launching new product...Which is why my original Rep was out of the office.
The new team rep I have, while being a cool guy...is surrounded by red-tape.
I might get away with doing 20-30 custom orders but, they're going to be "expensive".
I'm trying.
What I think will end up happening...Is I'll have to custom order them now through a seperate account and do it myself rather than through the team account...Not too sure.
Will let you guys know when//if I hear back...

Naw, you prolly won't get one.
CS doesn't deal with team orders...Team reps do.
Girdle was a team custom order (I order through the team).
I don't think that they don't even know that girdle exists (CS).
My rep is still debating how to go about this so give it a week//two.
Thx guys for your patience.

Hey Jim, didn't mean to offend ya with that post before or be "high strung"...
Shock Doctor really doesn't cross communicate well because all of the team reps are here and there, traveling so...Comm, often takes a back seat.
I'll keep you guys in the loop when I hear back.
I apologize it's taken so long and I'm working on it.

Seems like a cool and interesting product. Obviously low bulk compared to normal goalie jock. My only point would be the upper part of goalie jocks that covers the lower abdominal. With my epic it really helps me swallow up rebounds and I've had my high bulk jock save me a few goals.
