As talked about in the chat,
My modded CA.

as you can notice it's a chestpiece and floaters of a one95 pro and the arms of a RBK xpulse pro (the arms are beefted up and also got playercups in them, see other pics.)

the Black part you see there is the shoulderfloater of an old D&R 550pro, they fit in perfect to beef up the shoulders some extra, i taped them in because this is currently a test, if i am happy with it, (which it is looking like) i'll stitch them in.

I've been toying with the idea of getting rid of my P1 elbow caps, and I think this seals it. The elbow pad idea is sick.

Arms on the one95 are crappy, Chest on the xpulse is stinger-city,
combined = Good.
Elbowcups, i always have done this, more and longer protection and more mobile then the laced in cups.

It helps my style.
My style is the bastard child of Tim Thomas and Hasek, and this Bastard child just met an electric fence.
sufficient enough to say i need the elbow cups for my epileptic way of goal tending.
besides you are missing part of the purpose being more mobility in the arms.

Indeed - that's why I am looking at chaning mine as I can see the logic. Also, my arm/elbow guards are pants.
A team mate has my Jofa elbows, shall have to retrieve them

So I went ahead and did this to my P1 c/a. The results are fantastic. The arms are much more flexible and they no longer slip down on my scrawny-ass arms. For anyone that doesn't have an old pair of Jofas lying around I used CCM Vector 4's. They worked well and are about 20 bucks.
Great idea Pun. I am stealing it, and telling everyone that it was my idea. ;)

I can see why you kept the Xpulse arms, I love mine! So mobile, and pretty protective, stock.

I'm really not a fan of my RX9 chesty. I figured it was an upgrade from the RBK 6k. But avast, it's barely an upgrade.
Resurrecting an old thread. Interested in the players elbow pads idea, how are they or are they, attached to the arms of the c/a.

i used the existing straps on the CA and the existing sloths on the player elbows, for the top and bottom one, the two other staps just run over the elbowpad to keep it tight.
Still works great.

I like the Battram C/A as it is for the most part, but it could use some more protection on the under part of the forearm. Perhaps your Frankenstein approach to the elbows might provide the desired effect.....will look into it...... far to early to give you a "jolly good" on it...lol
