NEW FONT for 2008

Well... I know probably the biggest complaint I have got about our pads is the FONT we used on them, mainly on the side of the pad. Of course, if thats one of the few complaints I get about the gear, then I must be doing something right. So, I had Chakal come up with new cleaner looking font for 2008 and we will be introducing it in the next couple of months on the side panel of the pads.

Chakal will be the first to have this new font on his pads and gloves. We have the heat transfers ready to go and just need to get dies or lazer cut the side panel letters.

I know this particularly will make Hans happy!

The B, the A's, the T's, the R and the M are different. Still block letters but for a graphic designer, it's not the same. Garamond, Times and Minion may look similar, but I wouldn't be able to switch one for another on a client's logo without loosing my job.

Let's say the difference between the new and old font is like Red and Maroon on a set of gear. Both are in the red spectre but no one would accept the difference if Scott made a mistake on their gear.

The idea was to keep the font similar, but make it look better. Chakal achieved this and it looks sharp on all gear, and we can do the Battram embroidery on the collars and the thumb of the glove in the same font as well without having to use a digitizing service, so all will match perfectly.
