Today I just took delivery of some new webbing that is now available, its basically to replace the large weave of the current webbings that are out there in the industry, this material is 1" seatbelt style webbing that is the strongest webbing I have seen other than truck tie down webbing! But that would be a little hard to use on goal pad. This webbing will easilly outlast the products they are sewn into! I thought it would be a stiff webbing as well, but it is actually quite pliable.

Where you having issues with the material or webbing that you were using?

I can't believe your commitment to detail, Scott. I always wondered why the seatbelt-style material wasn't being used for pads. I assumed it just wasn't being made in the right widths (say, 3/4" to 1.25").
Yet another subtle improvement to already artisanal pads.

i'm wondering where youd see this used more of. on the back of the pad? i was just wondering, it might make a fairly decent Knee loch strap for thsoe who don't want so much elastic but a firm hold.. anyways of sewing some velcro ends to it?

Never had any issues with the current webbing we are using Frozendisc...
I am always in search of the "better" little things out there that are available.

I just got information on this new webbing, it is indeed made with Genuine Saskatchewan Seal skin...

Is this similar to or the same as the "seatbelt style webbing" that TPS uses? How does it compare to standard webbing in terms of weight?

On the roll it feels heavier than a roll of normal webbing, but there appears to be more on the roll. I would need to cut the same lengths and weight them, but again, I think the difference will be neither here nor there on the weight that it wont make a difference.
