I have had a few questions about what I do to the Battram C/A to break them in, so here goes. I will include pics later.

Out of the Box:

Bendy Bendy:
After regaining conscienceness, (I usually faint when I open a box from Battram) I started working the shoulder blocks, giving them a curve over the shoulder area.

The plastic pieces that make up the upper and lower arm areas are bent slightly to wrap around the arm. All arm straps are tightened.

Initial fit:
Fit is snug, but it passes the all important "Opposite Ear Test". As will all 5000's it feels like a tank; bulky but great to hide behind! :) I essentially do full range of movement and feel where it's binding. It feels stiff but id needed I could play right out of the box.

Wash Rinse Spin:
Next is a trip to the local Laundromat...

Glad it made it to you Tom, hopefully Dr. Al-E-Gators stuff shows up as well, it was all sent around the same time!

Just don't drive over it with your car/truck/jeep... ;-P

Could you tell me where exactly you feel where it "binds"?
In your oppinion could there be places where it binds that less padding could be used to increase mobility, or would that make any difference?

Just a couple of questions. ;)

It binds at flex points in the wrists and elbows, essentially places that will soften with wear.

These places have minimal padding but it is rather stiff to begin with.

Hope this helps; tonight I am hoping to throw it in the washer...this always helps. :D

You're going to use a front loading washer, with no agitator, right?

Yup...with mild soap! :p

Just soggy and tumble!
