So as some of you may remember, I filled in 2 weeks ago for an A-League playoff game and lost. It was a good game but I was shaky in the first, which hurt us bad.

Well, the team I lost to, ended up winning the best of 3 series and moved onto the finals. I got a call yesterday to fill in for the team that I lost to. Made me feel a lot better about my skills and how I played in that loss 2 weeks ago.

So I knew it was the playoffs but what I didnt know was that it was the final game of the 3 game series. Winner take all. Awesome game, up and down (Im way to fat and out of shape for this league) and we ended up winning in OT 4-3. The goal is scored and everyone jumps off the bench and is super excited. I didnt find out till then that they just won the league.

Best thing is I'm in for next year so I need to start losing weight and getting in shape. Tryouts are in September....

very well done mate!

its these kind of things that make all the bad things worth it.

Its nice to hear that these things do happen to us ...and make up for the anxiety attacks that we all get along the way

I trust you got a photo with the cup? :)

Let me get this **** straight. You lose the game in the first series, essentially throwing it, and then play for the winning team and get all the props?

Is there anything the government union mooks don't have fixed?:D

good job, you are the everymans Tim Thomas.

Its all a major gummint conspiracy......:D

The funny thing about it is that if he had told me right off the bat that they were playing for the chamionship, I would have probably over thought the game and f'd up.

I love this league and really want to be part of it. Its fast paced, gritty but most of the guys know each other so its not like really bad fights, just friendly chipyness.
