Hey Scott, is there are reason why you use the lace on the toe ties instead of skate lace? is there an advantage to it?

Does anyone else still use that lace instead of skate lace?

I replaced mine after a couple weeks. found the lace just not my style.

I use skate lace, too. I think that it stays knotted better than nylon cord.

I like the nylon cord. I find that it does not absorb water. I tried a skate lace and found that I would have ice build up on the lace by the time the game ended.

Really? I've never had ice build up on my skate lace toe tie. Granted it's a waxed lace, so there'd be less water absorbed anyways.

ya. What i like about the lace instead of chord is it's "give". skate lace tends to be a little more stretchy. Means i can tighted it up a little more than normal and still have extra give.

plus i find it just lasts longer and is easier to tie up

We just use the cord because we have hundreds of yards of it here in the shop at all times! Skate laces get expensive to keep lots in stock even at a wholesale cost. I figure if the goalies do not like the cord, its an easy change for them and with so many different types of skate lace it would be impossible to pick one that all would like!
