Default Non-Hockey Chakal Hockey work, Pro-Wrestling

If you read this, you already know that I now have a company called Chakal Hockey for all the hockey-related work I do. Well, I'm now designing Pro-Wrestling belts... And, then, the beltmaker hired me to design his new stock of generic elements. You know, things that you see on pro-wrestling belts. Eagles, Grapplers and what else?

This is the first belt I've designed, it's the nCw Heavyweight Quebec Championship. A belt I've held a couple of times in my career. Well, there's no generic elements on that belt, you know, even the WWE has generic elements on their belts... not us! Everything is ours.

So, take a look, I'll post more pictures tonight.

The belt is made by Wildcat Championship Belts and they make belts for other things too. Poker champions, salesman of the year, donuts eating contest. Offering a Championship belt is WAY COOLER than a little trophy!!

I just got a call today and unless plans change, I'm set to main-event a supershow here in Montreal August 23rd. So the Main-Event will be:

CHAKAL VS.......... HONKY TONK MAN!!!! the real one!

It would be the 2nd childhood idol I face (Jim Niedhart being the first one). I'll tell him: "Don't Be Cruel" and I'll try to avoid the deadly "Shake Rattle 'N' Roll"!

One month away! That's toooooooo long!

That's awesome Chakal. Will it be televised anywhere so we can watch you kick his butt?

I saw the Honky Tonk Man wrassle in person here in San Diego as a kid twice, once before he was Intercontinental Champ and once while he had the belt.

The first time was against my favorite wrestler as a kid, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. I was totally looking forward to watching Beefcake beat the snot out of HTM, and he did for most of the match. At the time I thought wrestling was real and I was furious when Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart hit Beefcake with that megaphone of his, allowing HTM to pin him!

The second time I saw him he was supposed to fight "Superstar" Billy Graham for the IC Title but Graham came out on crutches and wasn't able to wrestle.

Ahh the memories!

On July 27, 2008, Honky Tonk Man almost had his index finger of his right hand severed during a public appearance before an Ultimate Championship Wrestling show in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. As Honky Tonk Man told the story, he was doing an appearance at Boston Pizza in Charlottetown several hours before the show when someone wanted to take a photo with him with both men clashing guitars. When the guitars colided, the neck of Honky Tonk Man's guitar turned and sliced into Honky Tonk Man's finger, almost severing it. Honky Tonk Man was immediately taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where doctors stitched the finger and bandaged it. Honky Tonk Man made his appearance at the Ultimate Championship Wrestling show several hours later. He was unable to wrestle his scheduled match due to the injury and was replaced by Trash Canyon, whom he managed from ringside. Honky Tonk Man, although injured and in obvious pain, sang his theme song twice in the ring and was a consummate professional. He is expected to finish the tour with UCW although the injury may prevent him from wrestling, he is expected to be at the shows.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Honky_Tonk_Man shall we start praying for his recovery so that you can face him?

I thought you turned heel?? What are you doing slapping hands with the fans???

1500 fans... If RAW keeps getting any worse, you guys are going to have more fans in the building than WWE!!

Seriously, I was thinking about this last night, when Ric Flair walked away from the ring in Orlanda at WM, it marked the end of an era for many fans my age and I think it also caused a lot of fans to loose interest in televised wrestling in general, I have spoken to several people who just dont watch it anymore after WM.

Right now the WWE has about 5 active wrestlers that are actually worth watching. HHH, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Edge, Randy Orton are decent veterans capable of putting on a good show, but the rest of the roster has never had the time to develop to the level of stars of the past. They are also turning it into a 30 minute wrestling show and a 90 minute drama program.

I have been following TNA a lot more now, and I think some of the people in WWE should have gone to TNA first, learned their craft then went to WWE to become big stars. TNA seems to focus on the wrestling more, but WWE is where the money is at and who in their right mind would turn down 300 grand or so to start!

That was a spot show 4 hours from Montreal. We go there once a year and since it's far from where we wrestle usually, I'm a good guy there. It's easy due to my look.

As you can ear, it was a good call to keep me as a good guy there. LOL

I was surprised at the loud reaction. My new "baby face" (good guy in wrestling words) theme song helps a lot! It's "I don't want to stop" from Ozzy.

A good thing about being a baby face in spot shows far from the city is: Fans are buying you beer after the show! LOL

Here's the belt I've designed in action:

No I didn't won the belt, I'm just trying to ran away with it during the match! I like doing that, the crowd goes wild when I try that. Old school stuff served with a modern approach always gets the biggest reaction. I would have done a triple moonsault through a table, I wouldn't have had a bigger crowd reaction! Lesson for rookies here! LOL

David, I hope you didnt have to pluck Conways eyebrows in order to get them to sign with your organization! haha

The Highlanders are looking for bookings now that they have been released from the WWE... perhaps you could book them to headline against La Resistance!!

Rory McAllister just got resigned by the WWE. Don't know if he's your neighbor but one of them is back on the roster.

As for Conway's eyebrows, I'm sure there's something wrong with them! LOL But I'm glad to see that he's my height and that I'm heavier than him. He's really cut, but at least, I know now I'm not too short. Plus, with my new boots, I'm Sylvain's height. LOL

Meltzer reported this week that only Rory re-signed with the Fed. Also, it's also reported that Foley is heading to TNA. He had enough of McMahon yelling at him before, after and during SMACKDOWN!.

McMahon is reputed to yell at his commentators for nothing and everything, Ross, Lawler and the others live with it but Foley, with all my approbation, thinks he doesn't deserves it.
